THE 54TH FUSELIER BATTALION
1945 - 1946
SHORT HISTORY
The 54th Fuselier Battalion was raised at Sint-Niklaas, Belgium, on June 18 1945.
On September 10 1945 the battalion was assigned to the 21st Army Group.
The battalion
mainly fulfilled guard duties for the 20th Line of Communication
Group,
and delivered guard detachments for several P.OW. camps in
Belgium.
The 54th Fuselier Battalion was disbanded on May 31 1946.

FORMATION BADGE
The blue
cross on the red shield, i.e. the formation badge of the LOC
Troops of the 21st Army Group,
with a yellow figure "5" in the left upper part, and a
yellow figure "4" in the right lower part.
